In 2021, he retraced his original 1994 bike journey from Beijing to Hong Kong, now a four-part documentary series airing on CGTN, Bytedance, and National Geographic TV Asia, where he served as executive producer, co-director, photographer, and host. After returning to the U.S., Peter traveled across the American heartland by van to document community, conflict, and connection, a project now becoming a TV or web series.

Peter’s photojournalism, video, and radio work has appeared on National Geographic TV, NPR, and Monitor Radio, and in publications including National Geographic Traveler, The L.A. Times, and The Asian Wall Street Journal. Born in the USA, he has lived and worked across Asia and Southern Africa, visited more than 70 countries, led mission-driven organizations, and approaches his work with a global vision, local perspective, and universal heart.
